Excel…To merge or not to merge…that is the question 🤔
For Art:
- 🎨 Use merge for stunning, static headers/titles
- 👍 Perfect when aesthetics are key
For Data:
- ❌ Avoid merge if you need to sort, filter, or run formulas
- ⚠️ It disrupts layout flexibility—making it hard to insert or delete rows/columns
- 🔄 It messes up references, copy/paste, VBA & accessibility After I wrote this…I felt so guilty 😅💔.
Apparently merging is rarely a good idea except for those rare artful moments 🎨✨.
